	We started into the antique business here in Ontario Canada back in 1985. In the begining we sold everything from furniture and architectural pieces to glass, china and other "smalls". We had always carried quality antique lighting and as our interest grew in lighting we decided to drop the other aspects of the business. Since 1998 we have devoted ourselves exclusively to the antique lighting business traveling extensively through North America and Europe to find great quality pieces for our collection. In this time we have also accumulated an extensive library of vintage lighting and lamp catalogs which have helped us better understand how these old fixtures were offered originally way back when. We do all our own restoration work from our city based shop here in Toronto. We have a large inventory of fixtures, parts and shades. Whenever possible we prefer to leave fixtures in their original condition with the exception of new wiring. We always try to save the original patinas and finishes on a fixture and if we need to replace any parts we will use old vintage parts rather than new. This type of restoration usually requires the piece to be completely disassembled. After a mild cleaning it is reassembled with new internal components like wiring and bulb sockets. Some fixtures are too far gone when we find them...in this case the piece will be completely taken apart, polished or refinished back to its original state. We deal with many different styles of period lighting including oil, electric, gas and combination fixtures. Please remember that the fixtures on this web site are vintage and not without imperfections. We will of course mention anything significant.
