Item #1027
Two Light Sheffield Style Arts & Crafts Fixture
$1200.00

This is a fantastic two arm fixture that dates from around 1900-1910. This fixture was originally a combination gas/electric fixture that is now strictly electric. When found it was missing the gas jets and only had one cock valve left. We decided to remove the remaining valve and add brass finials where the valves and burners were originally. What really makes this fixture stand out from your average square tube Arts and Crafts fixture is the fact that it is in the "Sheffield" style...even the tubing is ribbed. You will notice that the ribbing on the shade holders match up with the shades perfectly. The two frosted glass shades are not period but are high end reproductions that were made in the USA in the same 100 year old molds, using the same process as they did over 90 years ago. The fixture is in overall excellent condition with the brass having a wonderful and natural dark patina.

Each shade holder has a small hole in it that at one time accommodated a "turn key" switch. This was rewired with "keyless" sockets so we just turned the holes inward when rewiring so they are not noticed...being mentioned for accuracy. The fixture has a total drop of 34" with a 22" spread. A great old fixture that stands out from the rest.
