Item #1030
MILLER Slag Glass Chandelier $3995.00 Here is a rare and hard to find slag glass chandelier that dates from the 1920s-1930s. This fixture has outstanding detail throughout and was probably made by a fine maker like Bradley & Hubbard, Empire or Miller....however our feelings lean towards Miller since we have owned Miller table lamps in the past with the same shade as the center bowl of this fixture. The chandelier is in excellent condition with no cracked or damaged panels and no missing or damaged filigree. The fixture is made from cast metal with a painted bronze colored polychrome finish that is in excellent condition. Note the heavy cast shade holders and matching ceiling canopy both of which have great detail. The slag glass is a dark amber with white swirls and a granite texture on the inside. The glass really fires up when lit and is somewhat translucent rather than opaque. The center dome has a four light bulb cluster making this chandelier eight lights all together. The fixture is completely rewired with eight new regular size bulb sockets. The total drop of the fixture is 30" which could be adjusted. The overall spread or diameter is 24". The center shade is 18" in diameter at the widest point. Each drop shade is 5 1/2" in diameter by 5 3/4" tall. An outstanding chandelier that will add warmth and charm to any home Back to Fixture Collection |
