Hammered Bronze Arts & Crafts Chandelier attributed to HANDEL

This is an outstanding piece of early American lighting that is attributed to HANDEL and dates from around 1905 – 1915. It’s made from hammered bronze with cast bronze arms and lovely cast bronze organic details just above each shade. The fixture has a wonderful patina which is the result of some 90- 100 years of age. The caramel colored leaded glass shades are incredible when lit…..lots of fire. They are of great quality with every panel being curved. They are in overall excellent condition with the exception of a few hairline heat fractures which are to be expected with shades this old….not at all obtrusive and being mentioned for accuracy. The only other issue is that the ceiling canopy is not original however matches the rest of the fixture quite well.

The fixture has an overall drop of 40″ which can be adjusted. The overall spread or diameter is 19″. Each shade measures about 4 3/4″ in diameter by about 4 1/2″ tall. Fixtures of this quality and style do not come around very often….truly a rare example of early American decorative art.
