Pair of Outdoor Cast Iron Sconces With Rare Holophane Shades $1200.00 This is a great pair of cast iron sconces that date from around 1905-1930. The have been completely restored, painted flat black and are ready for a home. The prismatic Holophane shades are in excellent condition with the exception of a minor chip here and there. These shades have a prismatic pattern pressed into the glass on both the inside and outside...the result is that you don't get a "hot spot / glare" no matter how strong a bulb you use. These shades always refract the light evenly and are very easy on the eyes...truly elegant. The back plate is about 7" in diameter and each sconce will protrude 12 1/2" from the wall. Each shade is about 6" in diameter with a 4" fitter rim. Their is no reason why these couldn't be used indoors as well. Back to Collection |
